Our last two days in Ireland were focused around Cobh and Dublin. We stayed at the charming Killiane Castle Country House B&B, visited the ‘Deck of Cards’ houses to take photos, and finished our trip at the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin.
We set out shortly after 10am. We spent some time trying to get the car out of Japanese mode, but were stuck on a map of Tokyo on screen and Japanese radio stations programmed in. I managed to connect my phone via Bluetooth but all it did was play music through the car’s tinny speakers. …
Our first day in Ireland was simple: pick up car rental, drive to Limerick and hear some live music at an Irish pub! We also ate some good food and explored around town on foot.

We drove through four states in four days to visit three national parks: Death Valley, Grand Canyon, and Zion. The drive took us through canyons, snow covered forests, and across dry deserts.
Our first vacation as a family was to Las Vegas for New Years Eve. Despite other travel blogs I read on Las Vegas being a family friendly place, I found it to be quite the opposite. I couldn’t wait to get out of this depressing city.
To close our European babymoon, we spent our day sight-seeing in London before boarding the flight home.
We escaped the hustle and bustle of London with a bus tour with Evan Evans to Windsor, Stonehenge, and Oxford. We saw a lot in one day!
Last Hours in Venice I woke up shortly before 6am to the sound of seagulls outside our window. Matt opened the wooden shutters to reveal a sunny, clear sky day! We had breakfast and tidied up the apartment. I took the garbage and recycling down to the “Trash Boat” in the canal behind our apartment. …
We got a day pass for the ferry to do some island hopping around Venice. We visited Murano, Burano, and Torcello before heading back to Venice for dinner at home. The islands were well worth the trip – and Burano was our favourite!
